Taxonomy
Vitimia evoluta was named by Sharov (1968). Its type specimen is PIN 1668/1654, a forewing (forewing without apex), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 1668), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
