Taxonomy
Vladiptera kovalevi was named by Shcherbakov (1995). Its type specimen is PIN 2497/305, a wing (right wing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kenderlyk, Akkolka River (PIN collection 2497), which is in a Norian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Tologoi Formation of Kazakhstan.
