Epitheca miocenica
Taxonomy
Epitheca miocenica was named by Gentilini (1992). Its type specimen is Gentilini col. MC 184, a hindwing (right hindwing), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Monte Castellaro (MCSN collection), which is in a Messinian lagoonal marl in the Gessoso-solfifera Formation of Italy.
