Eolestes syntheticus

Taxonomy
Eolestes synthetica was named by Cockerell (1940). Its type specimen is UCM 19170, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Roan Creek, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large shale in the Green River Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Eolestes, Eolestes.
It was corrected as Eolestes syntheticus by Nel and Paicheler (1994), Greenwalt and Bechly (2014).
