Taxonomy
Triaeschna gossi was named by Campion (1916). Its type specimen is BMNH I 2595, a forewing (perfect), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bournemouth leaf beds, which is in a Lutetian pond siltstone in the Poole Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Epiaeschna gossi by Nel and Petrulevičius (2010).
