Dysplanus was named by Burmeister (1843) [Sepkoski's age data: O Aren O Ashg-m]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Illaenidae by Raymond (1916), Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Corynexochida by Sepkoski (2002).
