Eokaolishania was named by Wittke (1984) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm u Sepkoski's reference number: ZR84]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Kaolishaniidae by Zhu and Wittke (1989); and to Corynexochida by Sepkoski (2002).
