Taxonomy
Permoraphidia grandis was named by Carpenter (1943). Its type specimen is MCZ 4589, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Elmo, MCZ 1932 collection Upper Limestone, which is in an Artinskian pond limestone in the Wellington Formation of Kansas.
