Bathytaptus falcipennis
Taxonomy
Bathytaptus falcipennis was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is USNM 38708, a wing (fragment of tip), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Coalburg, near Birmingham, which is in a Westphalian A terrestrial siliciclastic in the Pratt Formation of Alabama. It is the type species of Bathytaptus.
