Illaenoides was named by Weller (1907) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ldov]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Illaenidae by Raymond (1916); to Styginidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Corynexochida by Sepkoski (2002).
