Taxonomy
Archelcana durnovaria was named by Whalley (1985). Its type specimen is BMNH In 59162, a forewing (complete forewing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Woodstones, Black Ven, Charmouth (Jackson collection), which is in an Obtusum marine mudstone in the Charmouth Mudstone Formation of the United Kingdom.
