Palaeoplatyura eocenica
Taxonomy
Palaeoplatyura eocenica was named by Cockerell (1921). Its type specimen is USNM 66548, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is USGS 17-3; Smith's Ranch, in the vicinity of Cathedral Bluffs, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large shale in the Green River Formation of Colorado.
