Taxonomy
Liassopanorpa crassinervis was named by Martynov (1937). Its type specimen is PIN 976/9, a forewing (basal fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Shurab II, Ditch 63 (TSNIGRI collection 976), which is in a Toarcian terrestrial horizon in the Sulyukta Formation of Kyrgyzstan. It is the type species of Liassopanorpa.
