Argentinopetala archangelskyi
Taxonomy
Argentinopetala archangelskyi was named by Petrulevičius and Nel (2003). Its type specimen is MLP 12887, a wing (apex only), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bajo Grande, NF I Araucarites, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - small shale/mudstone in the Anfiteatro de Ticó Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Argentinopetala.
