Taxonomy
Tillyardomyrmeleon petermilleri was named by Henrotay et al. (1997). Its type specimen is BMNH In 46119, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Beacon Hill (BMNH collection), which is in an Anisian lacustrine - small shale in the Hawkesbury Sandstone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Tillyardomyrmeleon.
