Taxonomy
Homalocnemimus abjugatus was named by Mostovski (1999). Its type specimen is PIN 2997/996, an exoskeleton (well preserved male), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2997), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Homalocnemimus.
