Mesorthopteron similis
Taxonomy
Mesorthopteron similis was named by Riek (1974). Its type specimen is C-Dt II 354, a wing (incomplete wing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Birds River (Bir 111), which is in a Carnian lacustrine - small shale in the Molteno Formation of South Africa.
