Miotermes procerus
Taxonomy
Termes (Termopsis) procerus was named by Heer (1849). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Radoboj (Grätz Collection), which is in a Sarmatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Croatia.
It was recombined as Hodotermes procerus by Hagen (1858); it was recombined as Miotermes procerus by von Rosen (1913), Emerson (1933), Snyder (1949), Emerson (1965), Nel and Paicheler (1993) and Krishna et al. (2013).
