Taxonomy
Pseudomonotis telleri was named by Bittner (1899). It is the type species of Eumorphotis.

It was recombined as Pseudomonotis (Eumorphotis) telleri by Ogilvie Gordon (1927); it was recombined as Eumorphotis telleri by Neri and Posenato (1985), Gavrilova (1995), Hofmann et al. (2015).
