Taxonomy
Phyloblatta resitensis was named by Jarzembowski (2008). Its type specimen is Univ Bucharest P140/C2/73, a tegmen, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Secu colliery tip, Reşiţa, which is in a Stephanian B mire/swamp mudstone in Romania.
