Protopanorpa elongata
Taxonomy
Protopanorpa elongata was named by Martynov (1932). Its type specimen is PIN 2455/326, a hindwing (missing anal region), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Sheimo-gora on Soyana river (PIN collection 2455), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Protopanorpoides.
It was recombined as Protopanorpoides elongatus by Martynova (1962), Willmann (1978) and Novokshonov (1993).
