Lloydolithus was named by Bancroft (1933) [Sepkoski's age data: O Llde-l Sepkoski's reference number: 378]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Trinucleidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002).
