Taxonomy
Keeneia carnarvonensis was named by Dickins (1957). Its type specimen is CPC 2264, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kialawibri Creek Road Crossing, Round Hill Well, Winning Station, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in Australia.
