Gynacantha polydore

Taxonomy
Aeschna polydore was named by Heer (1849). Its type specimen is Coll Karlsruh Inv. 1265, a wing (vague thorax fragments, abdomen added with paint), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Oeningen (Carlsruhe collection), which is in a Sarmatian crater lake limestone in the Upper Freshwater-Molasse Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Gynacantha polydore by Pongrácz (1931), Nel et al. (1994).
