Taxonomy
Locustopsis dubia was named by Handlirsch (1939). Its type specimen is Unv. Rostock pl ii fig 25, a hindwing (fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin, Mecklenburg (Greifswald collection), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.
