Necymylacris heros

Taxonomy
Necymylacris heros was named by Scudder (1879). Its type specimen is USNM 38056, a tegmen (well preserved forewing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Near Pittston, roof shales of Vein C, which is in a Westphalian D terrestrial shale in the Llewellyn Formation of Pennsylvania. It is the type species of Necymylacris.

It was recombined as Eumorphoblatta heros by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1920), Handlirsch (1922).
