Taxonomy

Blattina flabellata was named by Germar (1842). It is an impression. Its type locality is Wettin, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Ottweiler Stufe Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Etoblattina flabellata by Scudder (1879); it was recombined as Phyloblatta flabellata by Handlirsch (1906), von Schlechtendal (1913), Handlirsch (1920), Handlirsch (1922), Schneider (1978), Schneider (1983), Schneider (1984) and Schneider et al. (2004).

Synonyms

Blattina affinis was named by Goldenberg (1869). It is an impression. Its type locality is Löbejün, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Ottweiler Stufe Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Etoblattina affinis by Scudder (1879); it was synonymized objectively with Phyloblatta flabellata by Schneider (1978).
Gerablattina munsteri was named by Scudder (1879). It is an impression. Its type locality is Wettin, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Ottweiler Stufe Formation of Germany.

It was synonymized subjectively with Phyloblatta flabellata by Schneider (1978).

Blattina schroeteri was named by Giebel (1867). It is an impression. Its type locality is Löbejün (Schröter collection), which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Ottweiler Stufe Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Phyloblatta schroeteri by Handlirsch (1906), von Schlechtendal (1913), Handlirsch (1920) and Handlirsch (1922); it was recombined as Petrablattina schroeteri by Durden (1969); it was synonymized subjectively with Phyloblatta flabellata by Schneider (1978).
