Aeschnogomphus kuempeli
Taxonomy
Aeschnogomphus kuempeli was named by Bechly (2000). Its type specimen is Kumpel Coll Jura Museum, an exoskeleton (complete male), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kinderdorf Quarry, Eichstätt (Solnhofen), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
