Kallihemerobius was named by Ren and Oswald (2002). It is not extant. Its type is Kallihemerobius pleioneurus. It is the type genus of Kallihemerobiinae.
It was assigned to Kalligrammidae by Ren and Oswald (2002); and to Kallihemerobiinae by Ren and Engel (2008), Yang et al. (2014), Ansorge and Makarkin (2021).
