Taxonomy
Mezenalicula connata was named by Aristov and Storozhenko (2011). Its type specimen is PIN 94/883, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Soyana (Iva Gora, PIN collection 94), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Mezenalicula.
