Protomyrmeleon jurassicus
Taxonomy
Protomyrmeleon jurassicus was named by Nel (1991). Its type specimen is NMW 1985/26/1, an exoskeleton (poorly Preserved), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Naturhistorischen Museum Wien collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
