Taxonomy
Insulacebus toussaintiana was named by Cooke et al. (2011). Its type specimen is UF 114714, a partial skull (nearly complete dentition and associated maxillary and mandibular fragment), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Trouing Jérémie no. 5, which is in a Holocene sinkhole horizon in Haiti. It is the type species of Insulacebus.
