Elisama brevis

Taxonomy

Araripeblatta brevis was named by Mendes (2000). Its type specimen is UnG/1T-20, an exoskeleton (female complete body), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Crato, Pedra Branca quarry (UnG collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Araripeblatta.

It was recombined as Elisama brevis by Lee (2016).

Synonyms

Elisama americana was named by Vršanský (2002). Its type specimen is AMNH XX, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (AMNH collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Araripeblatta brevis by Martins-Neto et al. (2010); it was synonymized subjectively with Elisama brevis by Lee (2016).
Blattulopsis beckeri was named by Mendes (2000). Its type specimen is UnG/1T-025, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Crato, Pedra Branca quarry (UnG collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.

It was recombined as Araripeblatta beckeri by Martins-Neto et al. (2010); it was synonymized subjectively with Elisama brevis by Lee (2016).
Araripeblatta cesae was named by Martins-Neto et al. (2010). Its type specimen is CES-JF-I-001, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (CES-JF collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Elisama brevis by Lee (2016).
