Taxonomy
Lonsdaleia fennemai was named by Volz (1904). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bukit Bessi, south end of Bukit Pandjang, Padang, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Silungkang Formation of Indonesia.
