Taxonomy
Kagapsychops continentalis was named by Makarkin (1994). Its type specimen is PIN 2383/496, a forewing (missing some margin), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kzyl-Zhar Locality (PIN collection 2383), which is in a Turonian pond mudstone in Kazakhstan.
