Diceratocephalina was named by Maksimova (1962) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Trep-l Sepkoski's reference number: 618]. It is not extant. Its type is Diceratocephalina miranda.

It was assigned to Acrocephalitidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002).
