Taxonomy
Akagophyllum latizonum was named by Wang and Zhao (1998). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tieqiao Section, Laibin, Bed 37, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Qixia Formation of China.
