Taxonomy
Prochaeradodis enigmaticus was named by Piton (1940). Its type specimen is MNHN-LP-R 07003, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (Piton collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France. It is the type species of Prochaeradodis.
