Taxonomy
Kuraspis was named by Chernysheva (1959) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm uMid-u Cm Fran-l Sepkoski's reference number: 618]. It is not extant. Its type is Kuraspis obscura.

It was assigned to Lonchocephalidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002).
