Mansiella was named by Rozova (1968) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Trep-l Sepkoski's reference number: 618]. It is not extant. Its type is Mansiella mansica.

It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Acrocephalitidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
