Taxonomy
Liassopsychops makulbekovi was named by Ponomarenko (1992). Its type specimen is PIN 4032/968, a forewing (incomplete), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Bayan Teg Coal Quarry (PIN collection 4023), which is in a Bajocian/Bathonian pond claystone in Mongolia.
