Taxonomy
Mesypochrysa chrysopoides was named by Ponomarenko (1992). Its type specimen is PIN 3559/5963, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Bon Tsagaan (PIN collection 3559), which is in an Aptian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Dzun-Bain Formation of Mongolia.
