Carabites exanimus
Taxonomy
Carabites exanimus was named by Scudder (1892). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is USGS 624(626), an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is White River (Scudder collection), which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large shale in the Green River Formation of Utah.
