Taxonomy
Caninophyllum gigantea was named by Zhang (2002). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Biaoping, Ziyun County, Antheria-Pseudotimania assemblage, which is in a Gzhelian shallow subtidal limestone in China.
