Taxonomy
Ulmeriella latahensis was named by Snyder (1949). Its type specimen is USNM 59181, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cut No. 1 on the spokane, Portland & Seattle Railroad, which is in a Langhian lacustrine - small mudstone in the Latah Formation of Washington.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Nel and Paicheler (1993).
