Coelocassida scabriusculum
Taxonomy
Elytridium scabriusculum was named by Heer (1870). Its type specimen is Nat. Riks. Ar. 48, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cap Staratschin, which is in a Danian/Selandian delta plain shale in the Firkanten Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen. It is the type species of Coelocassida.
It was recombined as Coelocassida scabriusculum by Birket-Smith (1977).
