Taxonomy
Cretocordylomyia quadriseries was named by Gagné (1977). Its type specimen is MCZ 6931, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Cedar Lake (MCZ collection), which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in Canada.
