Ziboaspidella was named by Lu et al. (1988) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Sepkoski's reference number: ZR90]. It is not extant. Its type is Ziboaspidella latilimbata.
It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ptychopariidae by Zhou and Zhen (2008).
