Taxonomy
Brodilka mitchelli was named by Lukashevich et al. (2001). Its type specimen is MNEMG 2000.50, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Poxwell, Dorset, which is in a Berriasian peritidal limestone in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Brodilka.
