Dipteronotus olgiatii
Taxonomy
Dipteronotus olgiatii was named by Tintori (1990). Its type specimen is MCSNIO P459, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cà del Frate, Viggiù, Monte San Giorgio, which is in a Longobardian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Meride Formation of Italy.
